โ ๏ธ Common Mistake
โ Saying 4 รโ 4 = 8
โ Draw 4 circles, and put 4 dots in each circle. Count them up. The answer is 16.
Why: The child's brain is defaulting to the more familiar operation of addition (4 + 4). They need visual grounding.
The Tricky Triplets
Studies show that 6รโ7=42, 6รโ8=48, and 7รโ8=56 are the most frequently missed facts globally. Because these numbers are close together and have no obvious easy patterns (like the 5s or 9s), they jumble in the brain.
Create a 'Target Board' on the fridge with ONLY these three facts. Reward the student every time they walk past the fridge and say them out loud.
